Mission: The Undergraduate Biocore Outreach Ambassadors mission is to work with K-12 teachers, students, and their families in Wisconsin communities to enhance science education. As an extension of the UW-Madison Biocore Program, the Outreach Ambassador Program was founded in 2004 to promote authentic scientific investigation and exploration by elementary, middle, and high school students.

Current goals:
- Enrich K-12 science by introducing authentic process of science activities aligned with Wisconsin science standards
- Create connections between the Outreach Ambassadors and other UW Madison STEM outreach programs
- Encourage partnerships between UW Madison undergraduates and Wisconsin communities
- Represent the Wisconsin Idea
- Help students realize the wonders of learning science
- Work alongside Biocore Peer Advisors to mentor underrepresented students in middle and high school within the Madison Metropolitan School District
