JESSICA FOX

Hi everyone! My name is Jessica, and I am a Biology major pursuing certificates in Global Health and BioCore. I am a co-chair elect for the BioCore Outreach Ambassadors (BOA) and a BioCore peer mentor as well. I joined BOA because I enjoyed teaching students about science and seeing how much they have learned in their schools as well. Over the summer, I am working as a CNA at the Orthopaedic Hospital of Wisconsin in the Milwaukee area and as a lifeguard. In my free time, I like to spend time with my friends, and outside. After, graduation I plan to go to medical school and become a physician.


NAYEF HAMDAN

Hi guys! My name’s Nayef and I’m majoring in Neurobiology with a certificate in Biocore. I joined BOA to help share what I learn in school with others, along with just making peoples’ days at science nights! I’m also a chair-elect for the Biocore Adventure Club, so be sure to check that out! Hey y’all! My name is Ashley and I am a senior this year at Madison studying biology with certificates in BioCore and Health and the Humanities. I joined BOA because of my passion to work with younger audiences and my love for science! In my free time I enjoy hanging out with friends and family, reading, traveling and playing with my kitten. DANIEL MEYERS

My name is Daniel and I’m a junior at UW-Madison! I’m studying Neurobiology, Molecular and Cell Biology, and Biochemistry with Mathematics and Biology Core Curriculum certificates. I joined the BOA because of my passion for working to inspire younger audiences to love science as much as I do! In my free time, I love to go on long bike trips, swim, play the violin, cook, and travel.

Hey there! My name is Joyce – a third year Biology Major at UW working towards a certification in BioCore. I joined BOA because showing the wonders of science to kids and teachers is just so enjoyable and meaningful! I currently involved in research and work as a Biology Major Peer Mentor at UW. PAUL PIRVANESCU

Hey guys, my name’s Paul and I’m a Junior pursuing a major in Biology with certificates in Biocore and Global Health. I joined BOA because of the positive experiences I had with ASSC and helping elementary kids learn new things by performing science experiments. I’m currently involved in a lab where I research enzyme structure and function and I also volunteer at Meriter hospital at the pre-op welcome desk as well as with HELP. In my free time I enjoy playing soccer and tennis, watching movies, hanging out with friends, and learning about geography.


ABE REGNER

Hi y’all, my name is Abe. I will be a junior going into the 2022-2023 school year, I’m pre-med and plan to major in kinesiology. I love outdoor activities and sports like rock climbing, skiing, soccer, frisbee, and golf. I was drawn to BOA because I loved working with elementary aged kids at ASSC and science night events. I think BOA is a really great resume builder, and I have so much fun at every event.

Hello! My name is Hope Risa, I’m a student of Molecular and Cell Biology. Some of my hobbies include fishing, swing dancing, and learning more about ophthalmology. If you’re looking for a great way to give back to the community and love working with kids, I recommend BOA, it’s the best way to spend a Friday afternoon and I’ve never left without a smile.
