Science Nights

This two-hour event features numerous “exploration stations” with simple experiments that engage students, their families, and teachers in hands-on, exploratory science. Each booth encourages children to ask and answer their own questions in order to understand a scientific problem

After School Science Club (ASSC)

BOA partners with Mazomanie Elementary for after-school science clubs to provide out-of-classroom enrichment for grade school students interested in learning more about science. Ambassadors that attend ASSC must complete background checks to participate.

The UW-Madison Science Expedition is a three-day event that includes exploration stations, tours of science venues across campus, and the chance to talk to researchers on campus. Light the Night

The UW-Madison chapter of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS) hosts Light the Nights as a fundraiser. BOA volunteers have the opportunity to fundraise for LLS. For more information about Light the Night, please visit


Summer Science Camp

BOA summer camp is a week-long day camp for 4th-12th graders where campers get to use inquiry-based science in designing and executing their own experiments in ecology, human physiology, nematode worms, physics, and much more!
